The Skriker was first performed in the Cottesloe auditorium of the Royal National Theatre, London. The first preview was held on 20 January 1994 and the press night on 27 January 1994. The director was Les Waters. The designer was Annie Smart. Music was composed by Judith Weir. Movement by Ian Spink. Lighting by Christopher Toulmin. The original cast was as follows:
